Cake Volume and Serving Size

 

When ordering a cake from Baking Indulgence, our cake size is based on serving size (i.e. number of guests).

 

The following Cake Serving Size is an Estimation, how much to serve your guests is still depending on your intended cutting size.

 

 

ROUND CAKE

Example of the size / volume of ROUND CAKE  is based on the following calculation:

The standard height of our ROUND cakes are between these TWO height range: 

(A) 3” to 3.5” tall.

Cake serving size is based on 1” x 1.5” slice from cake.

(B) 4” to 4.5” tall.  

Cake serving size is based on 1” x 1.5” slice from cake.

In conclusion, HIGHER cake will yield more serving size. 

SQUARE CAKE

Example of the size / volume of SQUARE CAKE is based on the following calculation:

The standard height of our cakes are between 4” to 4.5” tall. Cake serving size is based on 1” x 1” block slice from cake.

Costing of customized cake is very much depending on designs. A smaller cake with much complexity may cost more than comparatively bigger but simpler cake.


It is vital to have good portions to serve your guests, however based on past experience and customers’ feedback, size/ tiers do matter with visual impression. 


So, plan for a customized cake with ideal size which will serve a good memory in later days while you are flipping through your pictures. 

 

 

Remember to remove the following while serving your cake:
1.    All the surface decorations
2.    Skewers (if applicable)
3.    Supporting dowels (if applicable)

 

 

KEEPING THE DECORATIONS
As sugar is preservative, you can refrigerate sugar arts in a clean box,
AFTER trimming skewer or dower (if applicable).
