About Our Cakes

Baking Indulgence provides the following cake options:

Fondant Cake

Cream Based Cake

Fondant Cake
Fondant is a form of sugar dough that been used to cover cakes. It is very versatile and provides aesthetically smooth finishing to cakes.

Fondant cake is able to hold up very well in room temperature. It acts as a layer of protection to the cake, which helps to preserve the freshness of the cake.

No refrigeration required for our fondant cake and buttercreamed cake.  Just keep the cakes in cool, dry (i.e. air conditioned, low humidity) environment. The cakes do taste better in air-conditioned room.

Storing a fondant covered cake or the creamed cake with fondant decorations in a refrigerator will induce forming of condensation, once you remove the cake from the refrigerator.

However, if refrigerated is essential as you need to collect your fondant cake earlier, we suggest that prior to moving a refrigerated fondant cake to room temperature, let the cake rests for 30 minutes in cool, air-conditioned room with low humidity.

Our fondant cake is made with butter cake, coated with chocolate ganache, then covered with fondant.

Cream Based Cake
We are using sponge cake/ butter cake with Swiss buttercream frosting for our cream based cake.

It is optional to refrigerating your buttercream based cake.

If the buttercream based cake is decorated with fondant accents and sugar figurines, it is highly recommended to keep the cake in cool, air-conditioned room with low humidity.

However, if refrigerated is essential as you need to collect your cake earlier, we suggest that prior to moving a refrigerated cake to room temperature, let the cake rests for 30 minutes in cool, air-conditioned room with low humidity.
